At the core of the EVH SA-126 lies its chambered mahogany body with a basswood center block, chosen for its tonal balance and resonance. The semi-hollow design enhances the guitar’s warmth and produces rich, complex overtones, perfect for chords and melodic playing. Meanwhile, the basswood center block adds focus, low-end authority, and prevents feedback at high volumes, making it a reliable choice for both live performances and studio recordings.
The EVH SA-126 is anchored by a fast, graphite-reinforced mahogany neck with a compound-radius ebony fingerboard. The 12″-16″ radius transitions from a comfortable curve for smooth chording in the lower register to a flatter surface for effortless bends and intricate soloing higher up. Jumbo frets provide enhanced articulation and easy fretting, while the spoke wheel truss rod adjustment allows you to fine-tune the neck’s relief quickly and easily.
Equipped with a pair of custom-designed EVH humbuckers by pickup guru Tim Shaw, the EVH SA-126 delivers an impressive range of tones. The bridge pickup offers everything from crystal-clear cleans to scorching leads with mids that cut through any mix. The neck pickup adds warmth and depth to your rhythm playing. Dedicated volume and tone controls for each pickup, along with 3-way switching, allow for precise tonal shaping and blending.
