Thirty years.

Listen to Dave Grohl's heartfelt message about the past three decades.

Our Story

It began as an experiment. After Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, Nirvana ceased to exist. Grohl recorded a demo, playing all instruments himself, and released it under the name “Foo Fighters” to remain anonymous. The tape gained attention, leading him to form a full band with Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, and William Goldsmith.

13 albums, 11 world tours, 15 Grammy's, four documentary films and series, and countless live shows later, the brand remains a force in the world of rock. lineup has changed over time. William Goldsmith left early and was replaced by the incomparable Taylor Hawkins, who passed tragically in 2022. Pat Smear left in 1997 but later returned, while Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee joined later and became key members of the iconic band.
